- Lauren calls Mickey Mouse, "Daniel's Minnie." She totally gets the boy/girl thing and I think it's so funny that she came up with this on her own.
- Daniel categorizes families as mom, dad, big brother and baby sister. However, he told me I should have three more babies and they could sleep on our sofa. I think if we have three more babies, daddy will be sleeping on the sofa...
- Daniel told me he wants to be a doctor when he grows up and Lauren will be a princess. We have NOT coached that answer in any way.
- When we are driving, Daniel can recognize if things are close to our house or his grandparents and is always right. He really pays attention to everything around him.
- Lauren is a feisty little thing and if Daniel tries to take something from her she hugs it close and shouts "NO DANIEL" while wagging her index finger at him.
- If we don't have plans for a playdate Daniel tells me to call someone.
- Laure is CRAZY about dogs, until one gets close to her at which point she will shriek and run away.
- Daniel walks around the house picking up things to show me how strong he is and then challenges me to pick up the same item.
- My kids will play in the pool no matter how cold it is.

Currently...
Everyday seems to bring a new discovery around here. Lauren and Daniel are both at the "sponge" age where they are absorbing so much and it's so much fun to watch. Here are some funny of the moment happenings:

Shhh...Don't Tell Daniel
Please don't tell Daniel, but Lauren and I met up with some friends at the aquarium while he was at preschool. Going to such an "exciting" place without him feels like I'm cheating on him! We had a great time, although I noticed that Lauren was a lot more quiet without her big brother around. It's interesting how much they play off each other. It's especially funny to me because Lauren is the more outgoing one, so I'm not sure why she would be more quiet without her shy big brother.
